Venice is a city located in northeastern Italy. It is situated on a set of islands in the lagoon of Venice, in the north of the Adriatic Sea. The city is built on an archipelago of 118 small islands united by 455 bridges, you can reach Venice from the mainland by the Liberty Bridge. Collective transport is done by ferry boats known as vaporettos, so there is no traffic. It is said that Venice - "the most beautiful city in the world" - is a city to hate and love, but above all, to seduce. The beautiful Clock Tower or Torre dell'Orologio, which is located right next to the Basilica of San Marco, hides a curious history.
Legend has it that in order to finish the clock Blue and gold watch, the duo had them ripped out of the eyes of the craftsmen, so that they could never make a similar copy elsewhere.
The gondolas are one of the most famous symbols of Venice and are known worldwide. This typical Venetian ship is very old and is the result of a series of artisan techniques of great complexity. A gondola measures 11 meters in length and weighs 600 kilograms.
